Yeah thats is why I love the 1/8 on roads crazy down force. Plus Its not all that hard to get triple digit speeds using BL and Lipos but to do it and still turn it the sick part of it. I want. Going to look into selling a guitar or two and buying a used 1/8 on road.



I'd say keep the 6s and gear it to top out at the end of the track but that would probably be a wheelie machine doing that so yeah for sure run less battery Plus the weight loss will help too.

It'll still hit about 40mph on 3S. So and if its on 3S I can turn the punch control down and so it allows more throttle. With a single 3S pack its only 9.5lbs.

You can try cycling them if you have a charger that can do it. It may help. How old are they?

My rechargeable NIMH transmitter batteries are going on about 5 years now and are finally starting to die. Fully charged I end up at about 10.5-10.7v when they used to charge up to 12v. I need to buy a new set of recharbable NIMHs for the transmitter.

It doesn't have a discharge feature. I'd say my batteries are 2-3 years old but they haven't really been used in a year. They'll fully charge at a really low rate but they don't last at all.

NiCD/NiMH have a memory effect if the cells weren't discharged fully or charged fully. Might take a few full discharges and charges to bring them back if possible. Or they might be dead.

Aside from the charger cost it almost makes no sense not to go lipo now. You can pickup 2S Lipos with 5000mah capacity that perform far better than NiMH can for $30 each.

Well I've got 3 small cars (rc18mt, micro rs4 and mini t) that are electric and I was looking to get rid of probably all of them.
Everything else I own is nitro.


How much is a lipo charger?

I paid $80 for my traxxas 80w charger. Won't charge anything fast. But it will charge up to 6S lipo @ 3.6amp (balance charges a 5000mah 6S pack in about 1.5hrs.

All of the good chargers are $150+ and require you to buy a DC Power supply as they use DC input exclusively.

And I was thinking about my old e-rustler and I take back what I said. It was pretty fun for what it was. I'm sure brushless would have added to that. Though I did break many a chassis...good thing they're like $12

No t or e maxx though. I had a t maxx and its just a poor design for a monster truck. Weak ass bulkheads that break off and the pan chassis is weak too.

This thread sucks. I will most likely go out and buy an R/C car, get pissed as how much it cost to mod it and then sell it. It's a vicous cycle. I've had a Rustler, T-Maxx, E-Maxx, Slash, and an HPI RS4. I still have a Nitro 4tec and Blast. I want to get another boat because I tend to not mess with those as much.

I kind of want a 1/24 or 1/36 Losi. Something I can take with me when I travel for work and pack in my luggage. I'm often out on the west coast where there's a ton of sand and open area to play around with.
