I'll be back in a few to give you the dl on country thunder aka CT! I've gone 6 years in a row but didnt go last year due to money and 7 weddings I had to attend(one of them being the same weekend as ct)

Speaking of Porto potties and banging, my one friend did infact nail a chick in the porto potty. Talk about real classy.

I have to run around right now but I'll be back later tonight with all my info that I have from the years of going. Maybe even some pictures included

if a bunch of us go we should get campsites next to each other and have one giant party. and for those considering the one day passes, its better to get the 4 day because the one day tickets are close to 85/95$ if i remember correctly from past years. and if you buy a single day ticket and have friends in camping you want to see you can't get into the camp grounds with out a 4 day wristband.

Alright, so 1 I highly recommend getting camping in the preferred camping. It's a little extra money but you get a little bigger site, much much closer to the concert area. (you can hear the music from the campsites) tend to be safer, and you tend to get much more mature neighbors. Unless you only plan on going one day and not all four, camping is the way to go! Like some have said, even if you go for the day, you'll want to get back to friends campsites and can not do so without the four day camping wristbands.

I think there has been only one year out of the last seven years it hasn't rained. Definitely do not bring your best clothes and if you do, save em for one of the dry days. Of course pack your swim suits as there is no ac so when it's hot as hell out, you'll wanna strip down as much as possible. Also with that, bring a pop up canopy/tent (like those EZ pop up that are 10x10 for shade during the day and also for when it rains.

If you drive a car, don't plan on leaving till the end. There is also stores close incass you need to run into town for more alcohol or food. They do have boy scouts driving around on golf carts with bags of ice, depending the weather possibly firewood too.

I highly highly highly recommend springing the extra cash for a Porto potty, bring a lock to lock it when you are gone(check the rules on this). You really don't want to have to use the public porto potty's as they get disgustingly dirty very quickly, they do keep up with cleaning the ones in the concert area though in case you have to go in there.

Get wasted at the campsite so you don't have to spend much money in the concert area for drinks! Bring food to cook so you don't have to buy good in the concert area. With that being said, bring multiple coolers, one for just food that you don't have to open all the time, one for drinks. If you know how to camp with a tent, you'll be fine in a tent, tarp underneath and tarp on top over the tent(I don't trust those little itty tarps that come with the tent)

More will come to me as questions get asked.

The one year, we had a half naked girl run through our campsite at night. Climb into our neighbors truck and pass out. They grabbed blankets and covered her up. My friend and I were awake when she finally woke up in the morning. She had no idea how she got there. Turned out she was only four campsites away from her own.

I didn't go last year but was there for the 2 years prior. It is a great time and yes camping is the way to go. If your not 21 getting black out drunk isn't the best idea as they do card people and randomly go around to campsites and check. The one time I was there we got there the night before to set up camp and a drunk underage chick walked through our site as the cops were ID'ing my buddy(he was 21). Yep she got ticketed and escorted to her site.

And yes it always rains, and the paths to the event and around the camp grounds turn into giant mud pits and trucks like to drive around and whip mud everywhere at least in General camping. If i ever go again id get a site in preferred camping, like KAR101 said, more respectable place, quiter since its mainly older people and a lot closer to the actual event.

Although im debating going to Country USA in Oshkosh this year. Line up isn't as good so far, but its something new.
