If you say so. My fiance is now pissed she went with the 4 instead of waiting for the 4S. :dunno:

My upgrade from the 3GS to the 4S was huge and I enjoy it. Horse of a different color though. So far every 4 owner that has played with my 4S be hating and wanting one. So keep justifying your razr purchase.

Funny thing, the 4 owners that want a 4S, I told to wait 2 months. They didnt. Ohh well.

I've had my 4 since February and the 4s def isn't worth upgrading. My gf has the 4s and I've spent plenty of time on it. The money it would take to get out of my contract and upgrade is not worth the marginally better camera, Siri and processor speeds. From a 3GS it's a huge leap I'm sure.

I agree. I've used my brothers 4 and it really didnt seem much slower, maybe app opening time was lagging a bit more?

Siri is actually kind of lame. By the time I hold the button down, speak and then wait for a reply I could have done it myself and been right the first time.

I wish I wouldn't have put ios5 on my 3GS so I could be more amazed with my phone.

And others feel different. :dunno: Thats what makes the world go round. I dont think its worth it go buy 7 different droids, but people do it.

Chrono Trigger For iOS: Overdose of Nostalgia

chrono.jpg

Chrono Trigger, arguably the best sprite-based Japanese RPG ever made, is finally available for iOS.

I downloaded it. Have started playing it. And the nostalgia is overwhelming.

For the unfamiliar, Chrono Trigger was released in 1995 and is a traditional sprite-based RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy titles before FF Vll. The iOS version is gorgeous and appears to be a high-res port of the Nintendo DS version, as it includes two additional areas included only for the DS.

The combat system differs from the FF games by not transporting characters to another battle screen once the combat is initiated. Battles aren’t random either, players can actually see enemies on the map and initiate combat by walking up to them (different for its time). The combat system is incredibly deep, complete with cooperative attacks called Techs allowing for nearly a limitless number of attacks.

The only noticeable gaffe is the on-screen text. It is a pain in the freaking corneal lens to read. Also, controls with the controller overlay tend to cover up a sizable, but not unbearable portion of the screen.

Chrono Trigger’s unique combat system, time travel infused story, and gorgeous sprite-based graphics are available for $9.99 in the App Store. Grab it now if you’ve never played, and even if you have, it’s a painless way to relive a little of the mid-90s gaming glory.

Seriously, I am a sucker and see myself owning this game.......again.

I should have ponied up for the 32 gig phone though. My music library is growing, the pics and vids are taking up more space, downloading more apps. Only have about 2 gigs left of space.

I saw this about a week ago. Definitely nostalgic. I actually bought Final Fantasy 1 and 2 for the iOS. But I'm going to have to re-download them as I bought those on my 3gs and never downloaded them to my i4.

What's a good program for converting AVI files to a format that will play on the iphone? Tried one called wondershare imate because they had it for free on cnets deal of the day awhile back, but when I installed it it didn't work, so need to find something else. Preferably free or easily torrentable.

Bought a 4s over the weekend, upgraded from a 3s.

Initial impressions are a bit underwhelming since I've played with my GFs 4s already and knew what to expect. Much much much better camera, and a whole new league of speed. More importantly it works 100%, which my 3S was currently not doing. Also notching stronger signal in locations where I used to have no/little signal with my 3S.

just thought id throw this in here

$320 in materials is quite high IMO. A home-built computer with new components can be less than that.

What about Labor?
What about Shipping?
What about Advertising?
What about the Sales Reps?
What about the Apple Stores?

They probably make Sub $100 each one sold, which is a fairly low 'margin' honestly.
