HDMI Cable... Is it worth it?

No reason to switch from component cables to hdmi on the 360. You can technically turn on the 1080p setting with hdmi, but if memory serves, the 360 can't really do 1080.

as far as I know they both provide 1080p but hdmi cables are digital so they're less likey to run into interference problems, other than that it doesn't matter imo.

HDMI > Component in 1920x1080. There is a big diffrence.

I would think just the ease of plugging 1 thing in rather than 4 would be difference enough.

Im pretty sure the main menu runs in 1080 lol. I just remember I went through this and I was much happier with HDMI. This was to a 50 inch plasma though.

With the HDMI you also get a stronger signal of audio. Its being a little critical though.

Yea I have a LCD Sony Bravia 40". The xbox main menu does have the 1080p option. I upgraded my xbox to a new one cause the MW3 special edition 360 had the 250Gb hard drive and internial (and faster) wifi intenna. Lol

I'm somewhat of a geek but I'd say HDMI for sure. The game is digital, the system is digital, the tv is digital - why force everything to adapt to analog? The tv should pretty much self-adjust anything about the picture that changes automatically with HDMI vs component as well.

I remember changing my Xbox over from the Analog to HDMI and I noticed a fair difference. PS3 is a HUGE difference. I always prefer HDMI, and the only TV in our house not connected with it is the one in the kitchen on a DirecTV standard def box.

I went to HDMI on my xbox360, and GTA4 completely changed. Everything was noticeably sharper and clearer.

ive run both on a 61in tv and didnt notice a huge difference. guess it depends on the game. i mainly run hdmi for a cleaner look instead of a mess of cables.

and of course running hdmi on the ps3 is going to be noticeably better...the console was MADE for high def.

I thought the MW3 special edition was only in 320Gb. I picked one up as well a few weeks ago and only came in 320. (still have yet to even open it up).

The difference between an HDMI cable and component cables is negligible at best, a computer can tell the difference but your eyes won't notice anything. Frame rates will be the same as far as you'll be able to tell. If you want to switch do it if not you won't know the difference. I went with HDMI and optic cables only because A. I got them for free and B. I wanted to clean up all the wiring hanging from my TV.
