I know there are some nerds on this board, let's see your setups.

stripped my NZXT Tempest down today to replace the top fans. The case is really nice in stock form, but they include LED fans on the side and front 120mm fans, but not on the top mounted 140mm exhaust fans. I got a deal on some 140mm xigmatek crystal blue LED fans off Newegg for $2.99 each after mail in rebate and the difference is awesome. Ordered a third one and a clear 140 to 120mm adapter to mount another 140mm in the place of the side 120mm fan and moving the LED 120mm fan to the rear.

Really want to get a quad core/ddr3 setup but can't justify spending the money really.

Im actually in market for a good new computer. Looking for something that is good with music production and sound. Am i looking for a specific computer or more or less just the sound card and such? preferably laptop and not rediculous price either.

my bros got some crazy gaming computer, with coolant cooled setup to keep the computer temps down. pretty sick. blue lights and all the coolant glows green.

macs are ok for video/audio production because their software is pretty good.

but imo you can build something better and faster for WAYYYY less then you would pay for a mac.

your more worried about a good sound card mainly but youll need a decent pc to handle alot/large sound files at once. it all depends on how deep your pockets are. send me a pm and i can go more in detail.

Sounds good dude. Ill pm you soon when im really in the market for it all. building something probably wouldnt be a problem as my brother built his whole computer. I guess im more worried on the sound card and storage as you said.

we have a nice big gateway PC right now thats been working but id like something on my own. Preferably laptop if possible so that it all can be portable.
