anybody know anything about them? i found one thats one owner, with only 90k on the clock. clean carfax. clean body/interior and under $4500.

only thing im worried about is future maintenance on bmws, especially older ones. its only a 4cyl and its a manual, which is what im looking for to get some good ass gas mileage and be somewhat fun.

so any thoughts by bmw fans?

It'll be more expensive than an American car to maintain and fix but not much more than most other imports especially on a 95. A friend of mine has a 96 318ti for sale for $3,500 I think. Pretty sure it has a few more miles closer to the 130k range, but it's a grand cheaper and negotiable if you want me to get youguys in touch. Otherwise those things are pretty decent on gas if that's what you're looking for as they only have 1.8L engines. As far as being fun that 1.8L engine comes into play in a negative way there but being a bmw they're still fairly peppy for what they are.

ya i saw they only run 16s in the 1/4  but im not looking for speed, just something comfy thats good on gas and reliable. and if i want to keep it in the future, id just swap in a m3 engine from the 96s or turboing the 4. but thats a long way away, if ever happening

is your buddys a sedan? i forgot to mention im looking for 4 doors too.

Nah his is a 2 door. But yeah that's kinda the impression I got the first time I drove it, just a small comfortable car that gets you around without sucking too much gas.

i love my 93 325is. i bought is with 170K miles and it now has 185K. still runs and rides nice. everyone that has ridden with me has enjoyed the ride. slow, yes. fun, yes. the only thing i have done is replaced the throw out bearing (i also went ahead and put in a light weight flywheel and new clutch at the time) i paid 1500 for mine.
