WTB: big nose Miata crankshaft

Anyone selling, or know somebody selling, a big nose 1.8 Miata crank? Got a guy who needs one (current one is cracked) and is hoping to avoid an $800 factory crank.

I can honestly say I've never heard of anyone cracking a 1.8 miata crank. How did he manage that? I've actually cracked a piston but never a crank!

You got me on that one. It's cracked right across the journal, in a few places. We had it magnafluxed just to be sure. It's a built motor, had JE and Eagle in there. The bores were so bad we had to go to .060", Wiseco makes pistons for that size.

It's not in a Miata, it's some tube-framed thing. I want to say an Excoet, but I'm not sure if that's right.

You could try calling this dude named Rich, he's in park ridge i believe. he buys and strips miatas
I got all my parts from him, pretty reasonable too. not sure if he'd sell you just a crank, but worth a shot
