I think it's difficult to attack some of the "universally loved" stuff that is simply loved because they watched it as kids, and its just pure nostalgia.

I'd say the first two times I watched it, I'd agree. But it's one of those movies I had to watch 3-5 times before I REALLY started to enjoy its intricacies

On the surface it seems like a simple movie but I have watched it a couple times and still haven't really begun to figure out the complexities of what is happening when and why.

That’s a pretty good movie. Primer’s approach to how time travel works is really interesting .
