The long-speculated “Breaking Bad” feature film will begin filming in Albuquerque.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, the production, “Greenbrier,” will begin production in the Duke City mid-November through early February.

The film office wouldn’t confirm or deny that the project was a “Breaking Bad” film.

But a source close to the project confirmed the production.

According to the logline, “Greenbrier” tracks the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

“We are happy to welcome ‘Greenbrier’ and Sony Studios to New Mexico,” said New Mexico State Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. “For years we’ve built up the film industry in New Mexico and strengthened our film incentives, now we’re seeing success after success for the film industry in our state.”

According to the NM Film Office, the production will employ approximately 300 New Mexico crew members, 16 New Mexico actors and approximately 450 New Mexico background talent.

So its about Jessie?

God daaaaaaaaaaaaaamnit

Last night, we learned that series creator Vince Gilligan was writing and executive producing a Breaking Bad movie, although it is unknown if he will also direct. It was also suggested that this will be a television movie, as it is being make through Gilligan’s deal with Sony TV, who produced the original show (which aired on AMC). There was even the briefest of brief loglines: the movie would “[track] the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.”

And yes, Breaking Bad fans, you put two and two together correctly: we have confirmed that the kidnapped man is Jesse Pinkman and the movie will follow his escape from Albuquerque following the bloody events of the series finale. Naturally, Aaron Paul is set to reprise the role, which won him three Emmy awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Movie might hit Netflix BEFORE AMC.

It's not clear when the long-awaited Breaking Bad movie will arrive, but you might be able to watch it on Netflix before it hits AMC. Variety reports the service could get first dibs in what would be a role reversal from the series, which initially aired on AMC before it arrived on Netflix.
