It was something like "should the Illinois General Assembly amend the state constitution to ban something..."

Ballot for banning the creation of a statewide property tax,” the referendum question reads, “Shall the Illinois General Assembly amend the State Constitution to ban the creation of a new statewide property tax?”

A “yes” vote signals support for a constitutional ban on the statewide property tax. A “no” vote signals opposition to such a ban.

I'd expect nothing less in IL than language on a ballot trying to intentionally confuse people.

Crook must have not had that question...I didn't see that one on mine.

WTF...wonder why I didn't get it. I'll ask my wife to confirm (she is voting later).

I had:

- Cook County Minimum wage
- Cook County Soda tax
- Harper College referendum

The "It's the biggest election of your lifetime!" people are as bad as the weathermen who say "get ready for two feet of snow!" and we get flurries.

Wife confirmed no property tax question on her ballot either.

I love how cook county is inconsistent with what they put on their ballots across the county. Would not be shocked if they did it on purpose based on what response they expect in certain areas of the county.

I'm seeing that everywhere, especially in IG. Celebs I follow (yes, I'm one of those people) are posting non stop....however, most of them arent bashing Trump or giving their opinions (thankfully), just encouraging people to vote.

The "biggest election of your lifetime" is BS particularly for a large portion of the US population ie "baby boomers". The 60's were a far more divisive and racially charged period in US political history. The US lived through that period and will adapt to the current political climate.

People that believe that our Democracy is at stake with this election or it's dying are simply brainwashed by the media or career politicians on both sides.

Yeah, you definitely know who theyre voting for, but they all seem to be simply trying to get people out to vote which I'm all for as long as theyre informed voters.

We dont need more people voting who have no clue IMO.

I do think we are in the most racially charged and divided times since the 60's. The climate is certainly frosty.

Yeah both sides are really hitting the "THIS IS THE END OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY SO YOU BETTER VOTE FOR XXXXXX1!!1!!!!!!!1!!!!" It's a bit ridiculous, and there are so many people that are in FULL ON panic right now. It another election...I do think the hype will get some record numbers for voter turnout, which is good

But tomorrow, life will move on. We'll still have 2 room full of assholes who don't give a shit about "the people" and we'll be more or less in the same situation that we were today.

Democrats will still be crying that Trump is creating a totalitarian state and Republicans will still be crying that Democrats are turning us into Communist Russia.
