Default Power Steering Pressure Hose Troubles

Well, it's that time for my 2003 Caddy Seville. Leaking power steering fluid. Pump works fine if I keep adding fluid. I think the chances are good it's the pressure hose. I am NOT looking forward to snaking that thing out while getting power steering fluid in the face. Anyone have any tips to make the job easier? I have heard if you cut the hose and use a deep well socket on the 18mm fitting it's a lot easier than using an open ended wrench?

Hose is around $50 at Rock Auto.
