TPMS tire pressure sensor maintenance

Hey,
how long do the sensors last? is there a date code on the sensor. i am due for tires on the truck and i assume the sensor are original to the 09 Traverse.

Do i need to replace all four sensors now or just a rebuild?

I am thinking just replace all four and keep the ones on it as spares.

I am trying to prevent busting into new tires early just to replace the sensor.

"they" say expected life is 7 years. I've seen cars from 04 with the original sensors that still work fine. I'd leave them in until you get an error

TPMS sensor is bolted to the bottom of the stem...rebuild = changing valve stem only

the TMPS is connected to the valve but i would not consider them to be one unit.

Depending, service life is around 7-10 years.

We usually don't Fuck with them unless they're already acting like problem children.

GM and chrysler TPM sensors are a crapshoot. impalas are the worst
