So I’ve been going pretty hard at the gym and eating right/doing Keto again. Picked up some preworkout and I’m currently still trying not to die. Probably shouldn’t have had a full scoop but hey, I don’t fuck around. Heart rate seems normal so I think I’m okay but FUCK I am wired.

Been running a mile to the gym outside my subdivision, doing an hour or so of weights, and walking (eventually running) back home as a cool down. Been feeling pretty good and getting my cardio back up and I can already tell I’m adding distance to my running so maybe I’ll start taking a different, longer route to the gym.

Pre-workout shouldn't be used for cardio. It's more for lifting. It does cause increased heart rate. Throw induced increased heart rate on top of cardio increased heart rate... Not good. Don't kill yourself dude.

Bench going up, today hit 135x8, 185x8, 225x8, 245x8, 255x5 going to burn out with a few sets of 225, just benched 2 days ago, squat yesterday was 3 sets of 5 at 275 and 2 sets of 5 at 305, 210 body weight this morning

I only do the cardio to loosen up and because hey, why would I drive a mile to the gym. When I get to the gym, I just pick heavy things up and put them down.

Already my pants and clothes are fitting better. It's crazy. Hoping I see 239 today as I was bouncing between 250-260 for basically the better part of 3-4 years. Disgusting.

Hit a 265 for 4 on bench today for my heavy set, I got a set of 5 at 335 on squat Monday as well I tried some preworkout that day lol good got I thought I was going to have a grabber

Awesome job Brett!

I stopped drinking energy drinks and using pre-workout. I was having bouts of vertigo when using that shit and it stopped when I stopped that stuff. Me personally, I do not feel like it is necessary.

I did 10 miles on the new bike yesterday, it was about 5 miles on the road and 5 miles on the trail. Felt awesome, quads were definitely not used to pumping on the pedals. I also had back to back hockey games later on in the evening, feeling it today!

I am going to hit the trails here shortly. Does your ass get used to the bike seat? Mine is sore AF right now lol

Iíve had the same tub of preworkout for like 3 year now lol, I either drink coffee or chew caffeinated gum before the gym normally, but I may use some preworkout from time to time on leg day now lol Iíve taken it twice in the last couple weeks and príd both times

Yeah it does, but it will take a couple weeks, if I havenít ridden for a while Iím sore for several days after a long ride

Working on getting over my social anxiety, so Monday morning I will be going to the gym. My hope is that nobody will be there and I can tour the place and find the equipment I need. I'll be starting day 1 of Stronglifts 5x5, and will continue to run every other day.

Just show up big dick swinging and not give a fuck dude. That's what I did. Headphones in, lifting, doing the machines, zero fucks. No one else gives a fuck either because they're their for the same reason you are. To get in shape/maintain.

I had the anxiety when I first started back a couple years ago I used to be in really good shape and had let myself go, didn’t know anybody there, kept thinking everybody would watch me suck ass at lifting and look down on me, guess what no one cares enough to watch you lift, if they do chances are they are thinking good for that dude getting out there and doing something
