So hey, what's up? Haven't been in here in a bit. I'm getting ready to hit it again. Going to start off with a 5x5 plan and work it for six weeks from home.

Anyone use 5x5 programs in the past? Any recommendations on which plan to follow? I'm thinking of following the Buff Dudes plan right now. I liked their warm up and stretching videos, might as well stick with em!

I've been kinda nuts lately, lifting almost seven days a week.


Today was chest n triceps...... Love this new rope pull down machine at the club, one minute on, one minute off..... It's a challenge.

Ive been hitting it pretty good, im a endomorph so getting down to 200 is going to be a pain so ive just given up on looking at the fucking scale and have been judging my progress by how the pants and uniform fit. For some reason over the summer I just slumped and my strength went out the window. Ive been on T therapy for about a month, holy fucking shit. Ive been hovering around 230 but the pants keep getting less tight and the shirts more tight. I was a little apprehensive about getting on T, but god damn, I feel like im 18 again. If you guys feel sluggish, get your numbers checked.

Needing a check in.

Turning into an old man and losing motivation to work out as much. I’ve been struggling to get to the gym more than 3 days a week this last year. More or less I’ve maintained where I was at. I think there are a couple of factors compounding. 1, GF. Substantially more busy having her around and she doesn’t work out either. 2, commute. Finding it tough to leave work, spend 60-90 minutes at the gym then sit in 60-90 minutes of traffic. I was trying to get a gym sesh in before work but waking up at 4am to make it to the gym by 5 is draining. Don’t feel like I can get a good workout in regularly when lifting that early. Diet is garbage due to the lack of time/motivation factor also.

I was all excited to move in with my current room mate, who is a personal trainer and strength/conditioning coach, thinking I’d be more on track or motivated living with someone that serious about fitness. NOPE.

I just went to the store, bought chicken breasts, whole grain rice, quinoa, flank steak, salmon, low fat cottage cheese, etc.

Going to try to drop a few pounds. Been able to work out in my basement some lately, as well as I've been in the gym at work 2x a week the last 2 weeks. Aiming for 3x/wk right now, which is what I need to just get my body back used to lifting and being sore. First leg day took a full week to heal... and I didn't lift shit for weight either.

I'm in the same boat as you two. Last 3 years I was a gym rat, lifted at least 5 days a week sometimes 6 days. Last 5-6 months I have lost motivation and only been working out 2-3 days a week. I think a lot of my issues has been stress with becoming a 50/50 partner at work. With a lot more on my plate now a days after coming home, working out in all honesty has been the last thing on my mind. With that said I kicked ass on chest and back today!

When I start cutting which is usually now I cut down to about 2100 calories a day. My diet will consist of a low carbs, high protein. Tons of chicken, some fish here and there and usually a steak once a week to break up the chicken. I hate fish so its hard for me to eat it, but I do, lol. Sometimes I will eat eggs with 1 piece of ham for dinner again to break up the chicken. I dont get super crazy with cutting because I feel my best at about 240ish. That is considered borderline obese for someone that is 6' tall like myself. I have cut as low as 215lbs 3 years ago and I honestly felt like shit.
