So.......yeah. They would have had more troops on the eastern front to combat Russia and probably would have had a better plan if no western front even existed because no US.
Yeah, the argument that the troops diverted to western Europe from the US' arrival is very valid. But Hitler was always going to have to take a significant portion of those troops anyways, if they wanted to cross the channel and take Britain. Germany took some heavy losses (as did the USSR by like 10 fold), but it wasn't until the end of '43 did USSR's war production really ramp up. They had the numbers and the metal to go toe to toe with Germany. It definitely would've taken much longer (obviously), but I think in the long run the USSR probably would've outlasted Germany by pure resources, soldiers, and production capability alone.

IF you say so, but ok. Italy kept dropping its balls and Germany was cleaning up after them. So of course their armies were all over hell and back. Hell if Hitler had did the same plan, but attack earlier they could have taken Moscow and Russia would have fell, but the winter set in. Also no cold weather gear was given to the german soldiers so they were screwed from the beginning.

Also if Hitler didnt start bombing London and kept bombing military targets or just sacked up and invaded Britain, they most likely would have knocked them out of the war entirely.

I dont think Russia would have kept up their resources. All they really had was oil. Know how cold it is in most of Russia? LOL. Their food alone would be gone in no time. Hell, they were running out of supplies and resources in WW1 until the revolution happened and pulled them out of the war.

Germnay's tanks and weapons were better, most of the time, than their USSR/US/UK counterparts, they just didn't have the production capability to sustain. The USSR, by the end of the war, had produced 100K+ tanks, whereas Germany didn't even get to 50K. The majority of Germany's tank production was in Panzer III's and IV's, which was pretty evenly matched by the USSR's T34...but the USSR was able to produce about twice as many T34's overall, and per year.

Mods, please break off this convo into another thread. Its interested and doesnt need to be lost here.

It wouldnt have mattered how much of anything Russia was producing if Germany had planned better its attack and earlier. They would have gotten to Moscow within that first year before Russia ramped anything up. When winter set in, Germany was pushed back until they were finally told to dig in. When that happened, the Russians moved their manufacturing further east and away from Germany.

Also if Germany didnt split its armies to take the caucasus, they would have taken Stalingrad easily IMO.
@Flyn @Mook please break off. This is a good what if convo that I think would be fun.

It's easy to merge two threads. Not so easy to split 1. You guys could copy your posts to a new thread if you like or just start the discussion over in a new thread.

That and the fact that the Bears had a bye week already so they played one less game than essentially everybody else... PD this early in the season is laughable especially since they haven't played anybody good.

Nagy said the Bears had fast practices this week so I'm hoping for good results against the Dolphins. He also said the same thing last week and that worked out OK.

The lack of penalties against the Bears has been a good sign this year that the coaches are getting them ready for the games. In and out of the huddle fast with guys lining up where they are supposed to be. Few last minute adjustments by players who don't know where they should be lead to fewer mistakes after the snap.

Amukamara and Kush practiced today so they should play this week.

I can't argue with that. I have always liked Cousins. Thought he was poorly utilized in Washington and he still did well.

The Beast Chandler Jones beat weak backup G Rashad Hill and strip sacked Kirk... Cardinals scooped it up for a TD.

Tied up 10-10 we should be up 21-10 leaving points on the field...

Adam Thielen for the TD! 6 straight games over a 100 yards was a NFL record at 5 weeks last week and now he has 6 straight!

Daniel Hunter 6 straight games with a Sack!

Hunter ended up with 2 Sacks!
