Anyone using Activity trackers to monitor physical activity throughout the day?

The newer phones do an ok job but stepping up my game with a Fitbit Charge HR.

I was thinking of getting that Microsoft Band just to track my heart rate during cardio workouts. It sinks up with your phone or computer and does emails, texts, etc... Looks awesome.

i do have a fitbit one that busted and got another from the company as a replacement, although i never re-enabled it. fun at first but kind of lost the interest in it. more fun if you have friends with them and can be social.

it would definitely be a lot more interesting with something that captured heart rate. my understanding is that it is difficult to capture accurately, at least in the past.

a cool thing about the one is it could track stairs, aside from just steps. would go a little crazy in stiff suspension of brz and require manual fixing though on website.

My kids just bought me the Fitbit Charge HR for my B Day a couple weeks ago. I really like it, can't compare it to anything else as I never used another device. Sinks up with My Fitness Pal. HR monitoring isn't 100% accurate, but pretty damn close, I have the chest strap thing for HR with my treadmill at home. I wore that a few times and monitored the Fitbit for a few miles and was always pretty close. Sometimes it counts a few extra steps and once in a while I will wake up in the morning and it says I had like 30-40 steps in my sleep, lol.

I've been rocking a Fitbit flex for awhile. I used a porter cable on my girlfriends car a few weeks back and it registered as 20,000 steps

Yup this one does all that, stairs and heart rate, will log heart rate throughout sleep to get a good resting average, I'll compare HR to blood pressure tester a couple times to see how accurate.

I guess the HR is pretty accurate, had to look up if it was supposed to be shooting two green lasers into my skin 24/7

My wife has a Charge HR and I have a flex. I like the features of the HR, but not willing to upgrade just yet.

She likes that if her phone rings, it will display who is calling and vibrate on her HR.

I just bought my mom a fitbit charge hr for her birthday. She seems to like it so far. I'm thinking about picking one up for myself.

I like that the charge hr has a display that will show time, steps, heart rate, etc, plus shows caller id.

I've had the ChargeHR, Apple watch, and now the Surge.

The Surge has been the best out of the fit bits. The HR picks up the quickest and has more features. They can be found for great deals on eBay.

The Apple watch was a waste of time (and I'm an Apple guy)

The heart rate is pretty good on the HR. When you start exercising I've read it takes a minute to catch up and there might be better options in that department, but overall the HR is the best in it's class.

My sister came over who has the surge. For an extra 100 and all it really has is a bigger screen and gps, I didn't think it was worth it imo.

Are fit bits built better these days? I bought my wife one for about 100 on Amazon several months ago. It crapped out within a week and stopped syncing to her phone and counting steps and what not. Returned it without looking back.

I assume be surge is the best of them all?

I have the garmin vivosmart it was cheaper and worked just as well for me. I used it for HR mostly and the gf uses one also. No issues. links to myfitnesspal which is nice.

The Fitbit Blaze is coming out late March. Basically a bit smarter version of the Charge and is $200.

Did you do a 8-10 mile run to get that high this early in the day?
My best is like 21,000 and that was with a 5 mile run

no i haven't run in months. still fat after 30k steps too wtf. i just walked around. that was a minute from completing my day, am in the philippines.
