Well here's an awkward Twitter moment for you: the Vikings are using Adrian Peterson as the face of "Family Day" at their training camp.

Minnesota's official team account tweeted out Monday morning that it's Family Day and included a fairly adorable picture of Peterson kissing a kid.

This is awkward because Peterson's previously been involved in a Texas incident involving his child and an allegation of abuse.

Peterson says he's not a child abuser, but he missed almost all of 2014 while spending time on the Commissioner's Exempt List, entered a no-contest plea (as in he didn't contest the charges ...) and was promptly suspended by the NFL.

Look, Peterson is the face of the Vikings franchise. They're going to promo him all over the place. Doesn't make this any less lacking in awareness.
