Windy City Mata Club AutoX in Maywood

Went this morning to the Windy City Miata Club AutoX. I stayed until around 1 and had to take off but got lots of great shots of the cars. This is the first set.

I still have another 8 gig card to run through. Most of these were taken with a 180mm 2.8 some with a X2 TC. Pain the ass weather though.. sunny one second, raining a second later, then sunny again but overall not bad considering I don't have my 70-200 right now.

I didn't know Euro went! Damnit! I would have def showed up, i was just afraid i would be the only one LOL'ing at Rich :rofl:

yeah the course was swept on the racing line but get off that line and it was treacherous! Like a dukes of hazard gravel road!

Nice pics! Yeah, the track was a bit....gravel-y. Pretty much only on the very outside of the track.

You should've come 10sec, I just watched :rofl:

I had such an awesome time beating the crap out of the car! She holds on pretty well, but I still ended up with crappy times. Oh well, it was more fun than I could have imagined. Excellent pics Pewter! Thank you for posting!

It was a great time and a blast seeing all the different cars run. For sure will have to do that again. It was cheap and fun just to watch and photograph.

Indeed the best part of auto-X or Road racing, doesn't matter how well you did, or didn't, it's still a shit ton of fun. Even in a Lumina!
