Highend Gaming/Graphics Computer

I have a custom built PC that I am looking to offload.

CASE - Everything is in a CoolMaster full size tower with (1) 100MM fan and (2) 120mm fans.
POWER SUPPLY - Thermalake modular power supply.
MOTHERBOARD - MSI X85A GD45
PROCESSOR - Core I7 950
PROCESSOR FAN - Coolmaster V8
MEMORY - 6GB Triple RAM
VIDEO CARD - Nvidia GeForce GTX470
HARD DRIVE - OCZ PCIE-16x Solid state Raid 0 - 110GB
MEDIA - Blu-Ray Player, DVD Burner
O/S - Windows 7 Premium - Includes the DVD!!

PORTS - (10) USB 2.0, (3) USB 3.0, (2) E-SATA, (2) FireWire.

PM with any questions or to come see the computer. I never played with the overclocking features. Everything is just running the standard BIOS setup. It could be faster if you want to chance the overclocking.

Looks pretty decent. Single SSD... I'd put another in and run them mirrored just for redundancy. What sound does it have? Also I see two slot covers missing in the open case pic, but then the rear shot shows something there... I can't make it out?

I love the case... proc, mem and video card will be screamin' still for most anything.

Side note... for those that DO PC game... Xfi cards are the SHIT! I used to (slightly embarrased to admit) play a game called Americas Army in "semi pro" leagues and when I went to that card it was stupid how well you could hear enemies from all angles. Big improvement to my game.

Very nice setup man. I'd have a TB hdd as a slave and just run the OS and start-up programs off the solid state, but that's about the only thing I'd change. An Xfi card would be sweet but way overkill for me since I don't game much. Good luck with sale!

Agreed, that is the only thing I would do different if I was keeping it.

Onboard sound... eh, aight. I was hoping for a nice SoundBlaster Xfi or something.

@raid card, cool. Wasn't sure. :D

I did some research on the X-Fi, and I believe the on-board sound is very comparable to the SoundBlaster technologies;

just cuz they have optical out doesnt put them in the same category as a Xfi card. I used an optical out mobo prior to the Xfi and saw a huge improvement. It's really in their software I think.

Agreed. Perhaps my statement was too general. I'm not talking like Ion boards with the optical out because the only thing that offers is flexibility when setting up something like an HTPC. I had one for my CarPC build and sound was worse than stock until upgrading.

The higher-end Intel boards as well as MSI(I think) have Sound Blaster software included and really do produce a good quality sound. I set up a theater-room for a client with his existing equipment and it was an Intel board. All I did was upgrade the receiver and speaker wiring. Sounded phenominal until his kids blew the sound by cranking it up. Needless to say I stick to network design and development now.

A friend of mine is looking to build a setup for a similar price point I will definitely show him this.
