2004 Suzuki GSX-R 600
-14,xxx miles
I will still be riding when I can until it's to cold. 520 chain conversion installed at 6000 miles, then went down a tooth in the rear for about a year or so and put about 1500miles on it, then changed back to a 520 so the mileage is actually a little under 14k, just don't know what that conversion is.
-Ex-track bike put back on the street, 2nd owner, used to commute to work and back.
-EBC pads with about 500 miles on them
-Vortex 520 conversion
-Pics show Akra pipe but it will come with stock pipe installed and a banged up Yosh pipe
-Street plastics sprayed a gunmetal grey including passenger seat cowl which have been sanded down and are preped for paint. Plastics aren't mint, they do have some cracks and dents, but they are complete.
-Race plastics with headlight cut out sprayed black. Not the best quality plastics at all, but good enough for the track. No racetail, just a cracked street piece. You know, incase you wanted to ride two up at the track
-Pilot powers, not sure how much track life is left as the sides are pretty worn, but some street life left. Prob another season. (Don’t spend too much time on the sides anymore )
-Lite-eyes 6000k HID
-K&N filter
-Pazzo shorty levers(are ground down a bit from a lowside)
-Vortex rearsets
-NRG cover
-Hotbodies LED turn signals(Off the bike while plastics were being sanded for paint)
-Silver basic Dowco cover
-Clear title, at the bank, still paying on it.
The low down
I bought it from the original owner fall 2007, after 8000k mile service had been completed. Mileage reads 14,xxx but is higher than actual mileage due to the 520 chain conversion.
I bought the bike in track form(has been lowsided), bought all the street parts to put it on the street. It’s not going to win any shows, I used spray paint so that I can get all the plastics to match. Some of the plastics already had some kind of primer on it and when I laid down my paint, it pulled up some of the primer forming some rough spots on various pieces of the bike. I use the bike to cruise, commute to and from work. Not a weekend racer at all, don’t have the time for it with a new business start up. The bike has been down and there is a fist size dent on the right side of the tank. Bike has been looked over by 4&6 Racing that was in Arlington Heights IL, and they say it’s good to go. Bike rides straight. I did have the forks off the bike over last winter because I was going to have them powder coated, but decided not to, and when I put them back on the bike, they weren't 100% straight. So the handle bars now sit a little to the right.(As if you were turning right) I ride so little now a days that I haven't had the motivation to re-adjust them. I still ride the bike to and from work a few times a week to keep it fresh, and the bike does ever so slightly track to one side.
Bike has only left me stranded two times:
-The switch that’s connected when you pull the clutch in to start the bike decided to stop working. Push started the bike, got home, I bypassed the switch and it starts up every single time after that.
-There was a broken wire on the starter switch causing the bike to not start using the started button. Found the broken wire, ran a new one, problem solved.
Being that the title is at the bank:
-For a local sale I will coordinate that the title be at my local branch so that once the sale is made, you can get the title at the same time.
-Out of state sale, when funds clear into my account, bike will be paid off and I will send the title certified mail with a signature requirement. Bank is a local bank and the whole process should take less than a week.
