I thought you needed a sim card for Verizon to work. Which (from what I'm told) Verizon people have none of?

*you can jailbreak the 3.1.2 using blackrain and jailbreaking it does not unlock it for other carriers, a few more steps until that is possible, but if you use blackrain to jailbreak the 3.1.2 then you can not unlock it for other carriers
