Ariens 26in 6 HP 2 stage snow blower

Picked up my vintage snowblower from my uncle last year. Put a lot of labor into it: fuel line, carb rebuilding, check/cleaned points, auger belt, all fluid changed, plug etc. Its a 1965 Ariens M6 with very low hours of use. It literally sat in its cover in an old warehouse for the majority of its life. Comes with its original owners manual and is ready to do work this winter. Has electric start and its 4 speeds forward, one reverse. LOTS of these machines still in commission as the " don't build them like they used to". Looking for $150. Runs well and everything works on the machine. I am in Algonquin and can help you load the machine.

Mine isn't quite so old, but has higher hours. Its an arm eating animal - not a safety device on it.
I think mine is the 7hp version but otherwise identical.

Sonofabitch can throw slush 50 feet. I'm the guy the neighbors call on after the snowplow comes through and they can't cut the ridge in front of their driveway.

If the electric start still works, I don't think you're asking enough. I think $250.00 is more in line. If I didn't already have one, I'd be at your place with the cash by now.

Electric start works great and I have the carb working at about 80-90% efficiency. Started up with in 5 seconds yesterday when I was messing around with it.

Really just parting ways with this because of its sheer size, so I went with a more compact model . Its probably the most durable machine I have ever seen, It amazes me how strong each part is on this thing.

Thanks for the kind words

The old Ariens snowblowers are badass. Mine is a smaller version 2-stage(2.75hp)...It's gotta be 30 years old now and still runs like a top. I've done zero maintenance on it in 10 years. Not even an oil change.
