FS: 58" Panasonic Plasma 1080p HD TV.

TV is a classic Panasonic Plasma. Its about 8 years old. Never been opened up for service. Its been rock solid. Been on the wall for like 6 years, then taken down and used on its factory stand. The TV is in mint condition and work flawlessly. Comes with the oem stand attached and oem remote. Has 2 HDMI inputs and 4 component. Nobody really makes plasma TVs anymore, and this was one of the great ones. Was $4500 new. Picture is amazing.

$300obo pickup in Crystal Lake

It's not a bad deal at all IMO

Agreed. We are talking about a TV that will probably outlast any off the shelf new LCD or LED tv easily. Plasma was supposed to have a working life of 20 years. Plus its 1080p, and has two HDMI inputs. So its still current tech. The picture brightness/quality and viewing angles it displays are unrivaled at this point.

Yes, $200 is a damn good deal for the TV, they do have excellent picture that rival a lot of newer stuff.

Negatives: they're just heavy machines, with highly reflective screens in daylight, that get HOT when they are on for a while. Have fun with a second heater in whatever room you put it in! :D

Its not bad like you are saying. And this one has the non-reflective screen. Not gloss screen.

Fuck you Turk, now I kinda want this for the basement. It would tide me over till I could drop some coin on a new one. hmmm

You just let me know when you want it. 1080p plasma is just about the brightest and clearest consumer display you will see. It was just time for us to move on. I had it on a stand, and was afraid one of the kids was going to pull it down. I dont want to wall mount it again.
