96 Craftsman Riding Lawn Mower - 12.5HP w/38" deck. (917.259280)

Currently it does not move foward or reverse in any gear like it should. I am not sure if this is a simple fix or it needs a new transmission. SOLD FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. Engine starts and runs good. Deck works perfect and cuts grass with no issues. Front tires, belts, oil, plug, fuel filter, air filter, battery were replaced last season.

new: probably way more then this is worth running.

I have a line on a parts mower in Lombard the guy said I can have if I can remove it from his yard. I just don't have the time to swap a trans. If that is actually the problem.
