This is an old school home theater beast. Purchased in 2000, everything works on the receiver. The remote buttons light up and the only button that doesn't work is the 'On' button. The system 'off' button works so u have to turn it on at the receiver. It's 90Wx5 (5.1 digital) and made in Japan. Good lucking finding that.
It has 2 digital coax and 2 optical connections and tons of analog coax connections. I'm replacing this one with another Pioneer Elite because I need the HDMI inputs. This receiver does not have any but if u have HDMI on your tv you can plug the cablebox/Blu-Ray HDMI into the tv then plug the optical audio from the receiver to the tv or Blu-Ray player to get digital sound (which is what I was doing).
