It really is a fantastic laptop. If I didnt have a very fast desktop already (and wasnt in need of a note taking laptop) I would totally keep this machine. Very very fast for a laptop.

Windows 7, and no HDMI output

I can include a DVI -> HDMI adapter at no cost. Thats what I used to stream it to my TV to watch downloaded TV shows. Worked great.

What did you use for sound? I want to connect this to my home network to watch movies on my tv. ( Hard drive is on another computer) I want to keep my surround sound.

Sure man, Ill just give you a $250 gift cert and you can use it towards any of my packages. I was going to use my old laptop to start tuning the bonne but remembered the batt lasts like 15 minutes. How's the batt life on this?

The battery will be bad due to it being a gaming laptop. You'd be better off with a netbook for tuning and battery life unless you carry an inverter with you.

I do have an inverter, but in that case I can just use the laptop I have, prob the best option, just hate having wires everywhere.

Just replaced the battery on this thing, and it gets about 1.5hrs to 2hrs while constantly using it.. being that its a gaming laptop with a 17" screen, its to be expected

Audio sounds just as good as my Gaming rig PC
