2005+ GT- Magnaflow Axleback system (regular non-race mufflers)

Magnaflow Axle-Back, 2005+ Mustang GT/GT500 - 15882

$180

I bought these about a year ago directly from a guy at BBKPerformance and finally installed them in April. About a week later I stumbled upon a set of Borlas Stingers. I'm going to stick with the Stingers so the Magnaflows are for sale. They were only slightly used when I got them, the seller said only 500 miles and I only put maybe another 500 when I had them on my car. The only real sign of age is fingerprints from them being installed a couple of times. For some unknown reason, the previous owner lengthened one of the hangers on the passenger side muffler about 3/4 of an inch. So I had to bend that hanger down slightly to get the tips to line up in the bumper opening. They fit perfectly and had no rattle/buzzing issues. The sound is only slightly louder than stock. Rather quiet at idle. A hair quieter than the Flowmasters I had before them. There are tons of sounds clips all over YouTube. No drone at all at any RPM (unlike the Stingers lol). Very nice quality attractive polished stainless finish. I'll get pictures up shortly but here is a link to the same system:

Bump.

I might consider trading for fox parts. I need a set of motor mounts and have been passively looking for a semi-built rearend- something that has a 3.55/3.73 installed with fully functioning posi/trac-loc, and nice brakes that I can just pop right in there.

Dam this is a great price. I just wish I knew if these were louder than my JBA axleback that I already have. I would scoop these up in a second if they were.

I haven't heard the JBA's except for sound clips on YouTube. Which, by the way, there are tons of with every exhaust combo combination out there. Seriously, you could kill 30 minutes just listening to them.

In general with the 05's+, I consider the stock exhaust volume a 1. Regular replacement axle-backs are a 2, that includes Flowmasters, JBA's, these Magnas. The race style mufflers (smaller than regular mufflers) have a 3 volume, like Borla Stingers, Corsas, Bassani Race.

Hearing a car rev on youtube is one thing. Hearing it in the car when you are full throttle is what I want. My JBAs sound great at idle and when reved from outside, but in the car at WOT, they are almost nonexistant. Its sad that they are almost not even louder than stock at WOT. I dont want to make that mistake again. Honestly, I really just need a set of muffler deletes. GL with the sale.
