just took some pics and measurements.

the micrometer reads between 2.95 & 3.25 mm for tread depth
which works out to:

2.95mm = 0.116141732 inch
3.25mm = 0.127952756 inch
or roughly 4/32" which is 0.125"

not sure what Mickeys have for tread depth stock.. I couldn't find the info..

Nitto's and the BFG Drag Radials both have 6/32" or 0.1875


based on those numbers these tires have 62 to 68% of the original tread left on them

there is a drak bar in the middle tread like normal tires have to show u when the tire is basically worn out. couldnt get a great look at it with those pics but i got an idea.

so the 60% was taken from the new bfg/nitto depth?

I'm pretty sure drag tires don't work like that, I've gone way way past those wear bar indicators on every set of drag radials I've ever owned.

the 62-68% tread dept remaining was based off a starting tread depth of 6/32" which seems to be the norm for a drag radial in that tire size 275/40/17 based on the Nitto and BFG information.. Mickey Thompson doesn't state the depth on their website, but I email them.
