this wont bolt to a 4.6 8 bolt 2v will it?

Flame if you must, but what exactly would this flywheel do besides weight reduction. I drove a Roush 360R and i know it had an aluminum flywheel. Help an oblivious brotha out.

I don't know, I think it will fit all 96~04 8 Bolt...

Most people go this route when they need to replace the clutch. If you are not going to replace your clutch, you don't need it... imo

i know i dont need it exactly, just wondering what it does, thought it might help save the clutch too.

a bit less wear on the clutch
faster revving for quicker up and downshifts
a little weight reduction i guess
and it puts less strain on the motor which typically results in a longer lasting motor
slightly better fuel economy also
and im pretty sure this would fit a 2 valve 8 bolt as i believe it uses the same crank as the cobra motors
double check on that tho
