Sony CDX-GT500 3 weeks old CHEAP!

I bought this to use with a Sony SIRIUS tuner... well the Sirus tuner box (even though it say it'll work) does not work with the head unit.. apparently there's some software glitch..

I wish I would have known before hand... my loss is your gain!.

so long as you don't plan on using a SIRIUS tuner with it.. the radio is awesome

The radio is litterally 3 weeks old and used sparingly, I still have the box, manuals etc.. the remote hasn't even been used yet

Original price $199.95 + shipping

your price $125 OBO come and get it.

I'd buy it if I could hook it up to my stock mach 460 without bypassing the stock amps. From what I understand, the stock non-460 radio setup will be ok with getting an aftermarket radio. The 460 setup needs some sort of amp bypass kit that costs some $$. If Im wrong, then I am a buyer.

There is a kit out that allows you to use the stock Mach 460 amps/speakers with an aftermarket head unit. It's easy to wire in and you plug it into the stock harnesses.

Metra 5519 for '03s and older and Metra 5521 for '04s. If you aren't sure which adapter you need, look at your amp plugs and the pics of the adapter.

I have a brand new Metra 5521 kit that I bought that didn't fit my '03. $15 and pick it up and it's yours.

Stereo shops like Crutchfield also sell the housing that fits into the dash allowing you to add a single DIN head unit easily.

How difficult is it to hook up to an otherwise stock Mach 460 system with this head unit? Also, can I hook up an MP3 (non-iPod) to this?

-Mike

the mach 460 question has been answered.

the radio has an auxilary input that will allow you to hook up any MP3 player or really anything with an audio out..

the radio also recognizes MP3's and wma files, so you could burn them onto a CD and play them that way if you wanted to
