WTB - Looking for a cheap daily driver for the niece...

I’m looking for an inexpensive car for my niece. I would prefer a 4 door, 4 cylinder with a stick shift. It needs to be dependable and able to be daily driven. That’s not to say I can’t do tires, brakes, tune up and/o tires to put it up to where she needs it to be. I have up to $1500 to spend, we need to act soon and I’m ultimately open to anything.

Interested in a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 170k miles, could use rear tires, a tune up, and the power steering seems to leak out. Clutch is strong, just replaced shift cables on it, front brakes were done 500 miles ago, valve cover gasket done 200 miles ago and about to do an oil change on it. has a flip up tv radio and a sub i could take out to make it cheaper. asking 1800obo,

Soul, Thank you for the opportunity but when I call my niece for us to come look at it she said her fiance picked up a Geo Tracker in very good condition for a stone cold deal; they didn't even need my help with it. Again, thank you for the opportunity. It sounds like a good little car for a great deal to someone.
