1996 ford 5.0 short block and rebuild kit

Back up for sale again is my spare motor and rebuild kit, This is a 1996 ford 5.0 out of an explorer, Motor ran when pulled, and no longer has heads/intakes on it.

Has super fine rust starting up on the hone now from it sitting for about 6 months, but no damage or anything.

Rebuild kit I bought for $279 new, but I'm going a different route on the ranger entirely now since I don't need to DD it, and have no need to build a spare motor.


$300 obo for the complete short block and rebuild kit.

Any reasonable offer will take it at this point, I just want it out of my garage since I have zero need for it, and I'm already loosing money thanks to not turning the motor in for the core at the Jyard because it took too long.

Ran strong, no smoke, only reason why I didn't use it was because I got a smoking deal on a 98 motor *GT40-P Heads*, with half the miles.

Seriously, Turn it into a table, I don't care, its probably worth this much in scrap

Gut everything, heat-tank/steam clean it, pull the oil pan/crank/oil pickup/pistons *Bare block* which will give it a flat 'bottom'

From there you can mount whatever kinda table surface you want one way or another.

I don't see why not so long as you aren't cutting into any of the metal of the block to make it more 'table' like....

Not sure why you'd need/want to use it as an engine after turning it into a table though
