1994 Honda Del Sol Si 5 speed with 41k. Plainfield

EDIT: SOLD FOR $5300.

Located in Plainfield. Also listed on Craigslist and Del Sol forum.

They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy you this low mile del Sol and put a smile on your face! :D The weather is warming up, and tax refunds are burning holes in people's pockets! This one will not last long, so act quickly!

THE GOOD: It's nearly all stock, aside from a replacement exhaust, JVC radio, and shift knob (stock is included). There is no rust on the body; only some mild surface corrosion on metal undercarriage parts. It passed a recent safety inspection (documentation provided upon request). It drives like it is straight out of 1994. It shifts smoothly with no play in the shifter, VTEC takes you right up to redline, and the suspension feels solid. The clutch engagement is perfect and does not slip. Tires have 9/32nds of tread, and it has a new battery. There are no leaks in the engine bay nor from the targa roof panel. The interior is in very good condition. Only 1 female owner prior to me buying it last fall. Autocheck history report is clean and will be included with sale. I have the new title ready to be signed over to the next lucky owner.

THE BAD: It looks great from 10 feet away, but up close there are some fine scratches, nicks, and dings that would not be "car show worthy". The lady who had owned it allowed the dings and scratches when stored and parked. The front bumper has some damage, likely from a tow hitch backing into it, as pictured. The rear bumper has multiple scratches that have been touched up. The driver door has numerous small scratches that have been touched up. There are some small dings around the vehicle that could potentially be fixed with paintless dent removal.

If you can't drive stick, you will not test drive this car. You can learn on it after you buy it. I will ride along on any test drives. Cash transaction will be completed only at a Chase bank during business hours.

Yeah, I didn't drive it much during the winter as I didn't want to expose it to any salt. Just took it out of the garage on the nice days when the streets were clear to go back and forth to work. Only ran one tank of gas through it so far. It's ready to go to its forever home!

Price drop to $5500. You won't see many of these with less than 50k at any time in the future. I had the roof off and windows down all weekend while running about town. Get it soon before it's gone! I'd much prefer to haggle with a known member here than a complete stranger.

Still available. This would make a great daily driver to keep miles off your fun car! Gets 30+mpg without trying, cheap to insure and maintain, no emissions testing (pre OBD2), manual trans to heighten fun factor, targa top to enjoy the sunshine, Honda reliability, and unique among a sea of sedans, trucks, and SUVs.

$3000 can get you a sketchy Honda with 150-200k in which a teenager probably experimented with body kits, cut springs, engine mods, and a hacked electrical system for audio and lighting kits. This one is pricier, but unmolested and less than 42,000 miles.

TCG member price: $5000
