For sale is my 2006 Jetta TDI. The car runs and drives great with no issues whatsoever. I am the 2nd owner of the car, purchased from the original owner. I consistently get 45-48 MPG on my 60 mile work commute. The car is absolutely rust free and very clean inside and out. Seats/carpet are in great shape, no odd smells, etc. The car has always been garage kept. I have three keys, maintenance records and all the original books/manuals for the car from the original owner.
Since I have owned it I installed new front brakes and a new thermostat, as well as a Kerma TDI Stage 1.5 tune. Bumps power slightly, disables the problematic EGR system (without throwing CEL) and provides a high idle mode when cold. The car has four newer Michelin tires as well as a fresh oil change. I had it up on a lift and all steering/suspension components are good and tight.
All it does is sit now since I'm at my yard almost every day after work and I need my truck more often than not.
For any TCG peeps interested, I have a brand new Continental timing belt kit with a metal impeller water pump, brand new cam (the 1.9 PD engines are known for prematurely wearing the cam if you use the wrong oil, though this car shows zero signs of the issue), a brand new 1" hitch and 4-flat trailer wiring as well as a complete dash kit and wiring to install a head unit.
I have no problem keeping it, but, it's just sitting in my garage while I drive one of the trucks, so, I figure if someone else could use it more power to them.
Car has a CEL for a glow plug malfunction. Still starts up in -10 degree weather, could just be a bad signal wire but I'm just disclosing it for you guys and have no problem putting the scanner on it to show you.
