Cheap winter beater potential

I am mentioning this car for a friend. Late 90's V8 SHO. I think it is a '98.

Hot Rod mentioned these cars as a 10 best winter beater car, and I agree.

(scroll down a bit)

I just have so many I don't have room for another, and someone with a little wrench skill could have a great winter beater for the cost of a few tanks of gas.

The good - strong engine, rebuilt tranny only has 40k on it. good tires, good brakes.
Owner will probably let car go for $300.00 to $350.00 IMO.

The bad - trans cooler lines rust out on these cars and one is leaking and must be repaired. Repair is child's play.
Rear drivers side spring is broken way up top, loss ~ about 1/2 coil. Doesn't necessarily NEED to be replaced, car just has saggy ass syndrome which is common with old Taurus's anyhow.

The expected - AC doesn't work. Antenna mast is broken. Dents and rust. 187K miles on body. Leather interior is decent.

Actually, this car would make a good winter beater and I'd like to see it not go to the crusher. It is located in Winfield, Illinois, just north of the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

Did I miss anything?
