Do you have any friends that ride? Get your permit, start out slow until you get the hang of it and you will be fine. I never rode a motorcycle before I got my 01 zx6. Basically taught myself by doing circles around the block. This one has a lot more torque though with the newer technology.

Buy it, let it sit til next season. Take m/C course right away next March and you'll be good. I never touched a bike before that class and brought my 600 right after.
