always wanted to get into tuning just dont know where to start. How steep is the learning curve with this stuff?

For LS cars it's a little more complicated than others, but honestly if you're able to retain information you read, you'll be just fine. There's step by step writeup's with detailed descriptions on the HPTuners forum. Shit, someone could probably just send you a tune that's really close and all you have to do is dial it in.
