I paid $4K for my 2003 Caddy Seville with 55,000 miles. Luxury cruising, decent gas mileage and low miles. You are going to have to adjust either the acceptable age, miles of price. You won't find a newer, low mileage car in your price range unless it's a SmartCar type of ride.

since cash for clunkers really went down however many years ago the impacts in the cheap used car market haven't been as significantly felt up until now... it's insane... everything is shit, high mileage, rusty, or asking waaaaay too much money.
