AGAIN, Tim did not own jack.
Mr. Hupke told multiple people that.
There was a deal in place for Tim to earn an ownership position, but he was never a part owner.

Hoping for the best for the old girl, and anything is better than that POS loser denny stealing all the dough running her into the ground.

Hopefully the place continues to go in the right direction. It would suck to lose a local track. I'd like to get out there next season. Byron is my track of choice, but 41 is closer to home.

Went many times, it was a blast and a great time.
Only had 2 issues all year, and it was not the tracks fault, spoiled assholes that think they are special blocking the pit lanes,
and too many people on the starting line blocking cars.

Been ages since I made any runs at US41. Our old car club (Midwest F-Body) used to rent it from Papa Norm.

Thatís really odd cause i talked to Tim regularly and he always said he was part owner. They had some really odd arrangement cause Tim worked at Billys store for years without pay as well.

My friend was part of that club and I always went with him. I loved those track days because you could literally run like 50 times. Were you there that one day that dude oiled down the entire track after pulling the wheels, smashing his oil pan and in order for us to continue running we had to help the track clean up the mess?

I don't know Mr. Hupke, but I heard the exact same story from multiple people that actually know Mr. Hupke.
Tim doesn't own jack, he was working towards an ownership position, which is why I'm shocked he's gone so soon.

I am glad they are fixing a lot more stuff this winter.
We are thinking about bringing my P/M T/S back, but some of the stuff made me nervous.
Like the barriers still smashed up, and the pot holes.
When you run a 2" ground clearance, a pot hole can tear up a lot of carbon fiber.

We will be there with something as often as possible.
Especially since I moved my shop 45 minutes closer!!!!

In case some of you that actually race didn't hear.
The main change that most of my friends don't have is a diaper, so heads up, diapers required for 10.99 now!!!!


US41 Dragstrip
Yesterday at 4:40 PM ∑
US41 Bracket racers.

Rules changes for 2019. Effective going forward on all bracket races. Box/No box and jr Dragster will be run 1:8 mile as in previous years.

Tech : moving forward to create a safer environment for all. tech will be Tightened up.
It will be racers responsibility to meet IHRA basic safety rules.
Including belts, cage certification, license and all basic safety regulations.
We will not be tech nazis but We will increase tech for the safety of all.
Go to IHRA website and make sure you and your Vehicle comply.

Engine diaper : ALL vehicles running faster than 7:00 1/8 (10:99 1/4) will be required to have in place an engine diaper
or oil containment device. This is now mandatory.

Extended tech : I am working on getting a date with a ETI for US41 and cage certification from IHRA before season start.
More to come on this.

Sportsman class : 2019 we will introduce a new class. Sportsman will run 1/4 mile and be 12:00 or slower.
No electronics —-no trans break useage, no computers (unless factory) no delay boxes.
No down track timers, Etc. this is an entry style foot brake fun class for all.
Street cars welcome !! Low $45 entry payout based on car count. Slicks or drag radials required.
This class qualifies for team finals and world finals for IHRA and will have a track points system same as other classes.

Schedule and more info coming shortly.

A lot of tracks are starting to enforce engine diapers on 10.99 / 7.00 and faster cars. Guess I'll be ordering an engine diaper this week.
