I've been thinking of attending the May 9th CGI Motorsports date there also.

But I don't know if Gingerman in May, July and Septmeber would be too much of one track in one year.

Canopy, as in shelter from the sun CANOPY? If this is what you mean,
I may be able to get the one from our neon club, it is currently in my basement,
but if they don't take it for the summer car shows etc. you can use mine for free :biggthump

Oh so close,

Right before the last straight. There is only 1 piece of concrete (1 piece of anything for that matter) around the track to hit, yet someone always manages to find it. I've been to dozens of track days at gingerman and someone always endsup ducktaping their car back together for the ride home.

I feel bad for the drivers (and car), but its kinda funny too.

i dont know yet. i have to call and ask. the event promoter doesnt get that money, the track does.

gingerman raceway is a great place to start out since there are very few things to hit should you overshoot a braking zone.

would love to check out the place! like larry says he camps at the track. i did that last year once and it was cool, but its also a gamble.

I would be interested, not sure what I will drive yet though
I may try to smuggle the R for that weekend (if not, maybe I'll spectate)

The car ports were $50 a day, cash or check no credit cards. Bob Gilroy at the track will not reserve them unless you mail them the fee in advance. That was the deal last year anyway. They were sold out last year for the SVTOA July event, but were available for the SCMC in September.

I only intend on getting one (if available) if there's rain in the forcast.

Packey-Webb actually bought us two of those EZ-Up Shelters, but it appears I'm the only one that can fit one in his car
