I just bought a PS3 and I love it. Xbox definitely has more of a following and Forza is sweet, but having a blu-ray, more storage, and full HD tipped it in my favor. Plus I love that I can download full games off the PS Network.

If you don't have any loyalties to an existing franchise's games than I think PS3 is the way to go. I have both systems and the only reason I would fire up the Xbox now is if a new Halo came out or new DLC for Forza. PS3's online access is free so I canceled my xbox live account because I could use Netflix over PS3 for free.99. If a new game comes out that I want and it's cross-platform I'd buy it for PS3 over Xbox.

you really cant go wrong either way. but as a "jack of all trades", the ps3 would be the way to go. blu ray is a pretty big advantage and free online play if thats your thing. most of the major online games are closs platform now (with the exception of system exclusives like halo and killzone, and forza and gt5). i'm not a huge fan of online gaming on the ps3 but it works well enough.

normally i would say get the 360, but in your case, i think i'll say get the ps3, that way when you get bored of gaming, at least you'll still have one of the best blu ray players out there.

growing up... i loved playing driver, grand theft auto, dave mirra's bmx for dreamcast , mario kart, cruisin usa rofl, grand turismo 2, and halo for a little bit when the first one came out.

For some. Gameplay and story makes it for me. Id rather play inFamous by myself then Halo with 12 year olds.

I play more games on my 360 than I do my ps3. Figure out which games you'd play and if they are exclusive to one system then get that system. If it's a pretty even draw, I'd go for the ps3 to have a bluray player.
