Over the last couple days I had a chance to go check out the facility where they do all the training for the military working dogs, and it was pretty cool. (I work on an AF base for those who dont know).
We just wanted to check out their facility and get some pics of their dogs in action, because just like their owners, we even supply all the dogs with all the gear they could ever need while on assignment here, or even deployed across the pond. All the harnesses/leashes/patches/etc they get thru us.
Heres some shots of the dogs running the course they have set up, and when we were there, the local county sherrifs swat was there training their new dogs as well, so that was kinda cool
This little guy was awesome. He could jump onto and balance on almost anything. And his owner never spoke above a normal speaking voice, in fact he spoke quieter than a normal speaking voice, but as soon as he gave a command, that dog was off and running.
Now heres some pics of one of the dogs modeling some of the stuff we provide. You might laugh, cuz it is funny, but they really do need some of these things when they're out in the desert. This guys name is Crash. hes a czech german shepard, but he was amazingly friendly and very well trained.
So thats that. Just wanted to share what I "worked" on today. Sometimes this job is tough.
