Sonic booms? Can we get confirmation on that?
Probably just the boosters firing up to slow them down. As I doubt they slowed down below the speed of sound, speed up to break the sound barrier, then lit the boosters to slow again. But maybe I am wrong. lol
It is badass to see them come back and land like that. Technology is amazing.
Exactly. My point is that if they are traveling faster than the speed of sound I find it odd that you hear the boom and then the rocket noise immediately after it. And they are spaced apart just like the rockets firing. If it was falling at faster than the speed of sound I would think you would hear that sonic boom much sooner than you hear the rockets. The sonic boom would obviously be loud enough to hear it sooner than when in the video.
I understand sonic waves and the sonic booms. Maybe I am just not seeing why the sonic booms and rocket noise would be right up against one another like that. Especially since you can see the rockets lighting produces a larger amount of light then when sustained afterward.
