I do not ever understand the excuse "I mistook the gas for the brake". Seriously I can't fathom that.

I agree. It’s usually the elderly that use that excuse. I feel bad for them though.

Or younger people that shouldn’t be driving in the first place.

I was in Drivers Ed in school and the first day we got in the cars for the group driving stuff, one girl asked "which one is the gas, and which is the brake."

LET ME OUTTA THIS CAR is about what I screamed.

If you have to ask this question, you do NOT belong in the "practical" portion of Drivers Ed yet.

Gas/Brake is something you should have picked up LONG ago as a kid.
