Anyone else getting spammed calls & texts all the time?

I just got a mass text about amp energy drink with 19 others attached
I get about 6-10 calls a day and that's after I told tmobile to stop sending through spam likely calls. They are all from local numbers.
Asking about comEd and other crap.

Anyone else dealing with all these robocalls? Makes me want to throw my phone against the wall

I fucking get 8-10 calls a day on my work cell phone. I have registered on the do not call list and they still call. Also get a few texts a week, but the calls piss me off. Now they even use the same prefix as my number.

I am getting calls and texts all the time now. They shadow your area code now too. I probably get a mix of 4-6 text & calls a day. It is out of control.

I get maybe 5 a week I block every number like that, I was getting blown up one day a few weeks ago by someone saying they were the social security office and someone stole my number like 20 calls that day, I get emails alot claiming to be apple with charges trying to get me to log in to my account through there link last night one from some random online store saying I just bought some stuff with paypal if it wasnt me log into paypal on this link and stop the charge

I get a few calls with the usual scam "you owe the IRS" or "there is a warrant out for your arrest.." shit like that. Now the texts are "Hello", "do you have a girlfriend yet?", "how are you? I need a valentines day date, are you available" and shit like that. One was a picture of a topless woman saying she was my secret admirer. Which was a picture cropped so poorly you could see text from the porn site they stole it from. Ridiculous.

A ton with the same prefix as my phone too. I guess they think that if I see a similar number I'll pick up? There is only one person (a friend) that has the same prefix as me, and if he calls, it comes up as his name. So yea, not answering...

The other thing I question is, is there something they have that tracks when a phone is actually active? I won't get a call, then all the sudden I check an email that came through on it, and as soon as I am done checking, a phone call comes in. Hit ignore and move on. A hour later I'll check emails again, and like clockwork, bam, phone calls.

No texts, but I get bogus calls all the time. Most are for an extended warranty on my veloster that I haven’t even owned for 5 years. Then I get the “reduced payments on my credit card” thing (balance is zero), and for some reason I get a fuck ton of duct cleaning calls. I run 2 spam call blockers but they don’t catch everything but I feel they have been helping some. And I block the numbers every time but it doesn’t matter because they just spoof a new number every time

I've come to just ignore any number I don't have saved. Even at work I'll look up our company phone book to see if it's someone or else I just ignore it.

But yes, it's gotten worse and worse.

I answer mainly because you never know who is on the other end. That 1% chance.

Yup. exactly this. Same as my phone number, just different last 4. I think i've gotten at least 3 today so far. I tracked them for a week once, never got the same number calling me twice.

I also just one the other night from my VOICEMAIL Literally said voicemail on my screen, and it was MY phone number, but it was coming in like a regular call. Had some message about how my account was going to be deactivated and blah blah :jerkit:yah ok. I give them points for originality and somehow being able to mirror my own damn phone number.

My number's out in public so I get a ton of spam calls and texts. Seems like Mondays are around half a dozen with other days being 2-3. I block all of the numbers which, sometimes, stops them for a few days.

I pay for the $2.99 spam block/Caller ID service from Verizon which helps. That service is supposed to be free starting in March.

Apparently some business are getting screwed over, because they're spoofing the numbers, and people get pissed and report the numbers or try to recall the number and try and bitch out the person. It ends up being someone or a business that just had their number spoofed and had no idea.
