I've been dealing with Keratoconus (more info) in my left eye for about 20 years now (for the first 10 years it was misdiagnosed.) Although I cannot see clearly with just my left eye (unless I squint or a rigid contact lens), my right eye has been 20/20 all along. I've managed day to day as if I have normal sight.
Anyway, about 8 years ago I was fitted in ym left eye with a rigid contact lens which helped my overall sight tremendously, but I couldn't wear it driving at night (halos) and overall it was pretty uncomfortable. I finally gave up about 2 years ago.
Currently, the sight in my right eye is changing (likely age) and I want to go back to a specialist. I've been researching Scleral lenses and they might be a good option for my left or both eyes.
Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else has Keratoconus and find out what has worked/not worked for you. Also, looking for feedback on scleral lens.
Thanks,
TG
