Conclusion: If you've already got a 1080Ti there's no point in upgrading unless you're going to a 2080Ti which is $1200, if you've got a 1080 or lower and have the money the 2080 ($699+) is a good purchase as it does increasingly better the closer you get to 4k gaming.

This does not include anything on raytracing because no games include the feature yet, so we'll see how that get's implemented later.
