So, how about a bank story everyone?

A few locations ago as a banker, the Mrs was working as a banker. She had a teller come up to her saying she had a guy that was suspicious with a debit card and wanted to make a withdraw. A lot of time debit card fraud happens at the ATM. In the interim, there's about 3-4 people behind this guy including one or two that are starting to get vocally impatient. My wife waves over lets call her Francine.

Francine was one of those people who ultimately wanted to find a position as fraud prevention. You know, the sort that enjoys the hunt perhaps a bit too much. Francine also was friendly with the local constabulary, to the point of having a Sergeant on dial due to her handling most of the "issues." She comes over, they have a brief conversation and my wife steps back. Naturally she's already texted the officer to show up to the party. This guy gets 800 in cash or so from the first card, so he hands Francine another one. This card comes up as their bank based on the numbers, but is clearly not from the bank e.g. they "revamped" it in one way or another. Francine starts stalling on the money making small talk etc. and one of the look outs bails. Just as she's about to give him the cash, the Sergeant walks in. He's not a big dude, but the officer behind him is. Naturally him and the lookout try to beat feet, but he has none of it. They find a bunch of cards on the one guy and as they're escorting him out of the building he turns around and shouts "why you gotta do me like that Francine!"

I guess the moral of the story is enjoy money, so long as its yours and don't try to extract cash that isn't. You may get away with it, then again you may get someone who may want to ship you up the river for their own entertainment.
