It is the tip of the iceberg. It started with water. Then was expanded to more and more items. Now it's not just coffee, it's just about anything sold in California.

$2,500 fine PER cup of coffee. I know Starbucks and others can be expensive, but come on. Why would sellers, or manufactures, offer anything to California with the exposure like that?

Not to mention they want the rest of the world to bend to their will.

If you go back to look at his past posts on this forum (which I had to since I had no idea who this was), he consistently posts racist, hateful, and generally angry type of messages on here. For someone proclaiming to be in his 40’s, it’s hilariously immature. But nothing we haven’t seen on here before.

I just had a question that popped into my mind. What do the analysis of California tap water look like, and do the municipalities in California put Proposition 65 warnings on them? A 30 second search indicates that there's stuff in at least some water in California that could cause cancer or reproductive harm like arsenic or uranium.

Might as well list out the cancer causing ingredients on all the food products then?

Currently peanuts, soy, dairy are called out for food allergies.

Someone asked about veggies earlier in the post. Saying they have cancer-causing chemicals as well. I then went on to ask about the chemicals used in farming as well.

This isn't just about food and water. It is everything. Imagine plastic. It is everywhere. Name an industry and plastic is somewhere in there. Plastic uses some of the chemicals listed. So imagine basically everything having to have labels for this. If not covered by prop 65 already, they can change it again to cover literally everything.

Ill snag that one...

it's a double edged sword...

one hand, it's not "right"

other hand. read the comments section on any youtube video or facebook mass post and you'll read 1,000s of things 100x worse.

but then i look and see all his other posts are either regarding race or sexuality, or they are for sale ads

Prop 65 is something I think most people just flat out ignore. The problem is it's so vague that it applies to almost everything and you see the plaques everywhere. It's one of those things where I think it's good intentioned but just implemented so poorly that it effectively becomes useless because everyone ignores it.

How can you ignore something that can potentially lead to a lawsuit? Especially one based on a law that is so vague that it leaves you little defense against it?

Your cleaning crew used a product to clean the toilets. It has a chemical in it that is defined in the law. Since people's butts touch the toilet seat, they tough their butts, they touch the products produced at that factory. Therefore the product should have been labeled with the said chemical as potentially causing cancer. Oh, and Stacey in accounting is a slut. So all the dudes that touched her butt have been notified and we are checking to see where they work so we can file suit with them and make more money. Excuse me, I meant save peoples lives.

This will turn into a big money grab. The law may have started with good intentions but lawmakers and lobbyists have probably turned it into another problem for California.

That's how all these "good intention" laws always end up and the politicians know it from the start. Also, once these "laws" are in place, they are almost impossible to get rid of.

And I swear I never touched Stacey's butt.

This law exists because of politicians who were so detached from what they were trying to do they had no understanding of it. Think Ted Stevens talking about the Internet not being a truck. It also exists because your neighbors need jobs, and some pol needs shake down money.
