This isn't actually a pic of mine, but this is what I had back in the day. The machine was an absolute blast.

Ya, the cloud is a good idea in theory. But seems execution is the issue.

Why Apple is so against expandable storage is beyond me. I have a 64GB phone with 128GB SD card that cost me what, $25-$35? And I still back up on my computers and some to my cloud / Drive.

I had some buddies with the 400 & 500 scrambles back in the day. Fun but so heavy compared to my Banshee and 250R. But for a 4x4 quad they offered a lot more sport than the usual 4x4 quads

That was why I loved it. I wasn't going for all out speed (otherwise I'd have gotten a banshee or warrior), but it was quick for it's size/heft. It was really a great trail machine. Point it where you want and hit the throttle, it's 4WD system and it's snowmobile like clutch/trans did the rest.

Back then, we'd get shit from all the Honda and Yamaha riders, yet, they were the ones trying to keep up with us on those trails.

I may be a bit foggy, but it was comparable to what I had, just lighter. But yet still 4wd.

The warrior was heavier than a Banshee but only like a 200 cc engine. And 2wd. It was fun but not quick or well balanced.

I just went and looked it up, I could've sworn it was 4wd, but it has been some 20 years since I was shopping and bought, so many brain cells have been killed.

It comes up as 348cc.

By way of comparison, the Scrambler was 378cc, so that's why I seem to recall cross-shopping them at the time.

That's a general rule of thumb, but everyone in my fam got their hair from my dad's side. And my dad has 5 kids with 2 different wives, so it's safe to say his genes have been tried and tested lol

Haz a feeling that gene made it down to christian, but time will tell. FIL was bald by 25 and my hair is thick as a a carpet at 30, so we'll probably know by the time he's a teenager lol

OK a slow 350 four stroke. haha

But ya, the 300ex was a better quad than the Warrior.

And a two-stroke is going to make as much power as a four-stroke of almost the same CC. So ya, the 400 scrambler and 350 banshee made more power than the 350 four-stroke.

In retrospect, As much fun as it was, I would've been better served buying a more utilitarian quad that I could use for plowing, towing, etc... I might still have it had I gone that route. I sold that one in 1999 or something like that. While I rode it year round, it really wasn't a workhorse quad (obviously).

Sport quads are definitely limited. The 400/500 Scrambler was a great middle ground. But still not as good for work as a utility type quad. But those are boring unless you are in a mud pit. lol

Seeing as I had an addiction for modifying things, I had two custom quads I built. Basically stock frames with all new everything else.

I had a Banshee with a 420 cc big bore, long rod engine, billet head, single carb conversion, and much more. Plus triple rate shocks, aftermarket control arms and so on. Was freaking fast! Whooped ass drag racing in the sand dunes. Was great in the woods unless it was tight. As it had extended with a arms.

The 250R has the 330 cc power valve cylinder set yup, billet head, and full suspension. But it was stock(ish) width. Great woods, cross-country, and track quad.

I still have the banshee. But it needs to be gone through again.

My dad's dad died with a full head of hair and my dad still has a full head of hair at 58. My mom's dad died with a Costanza, mom's hair has thinned drastically, and then me. Also getting a Costanza.
